- The Governor of Mississippi, Tate Reeves announced the creation of a “State Rail Authority” in his February annual address.
- By way of introduction: The work of OnTrackMississippi is to advance a new approach to economic development, where equal attention is given to Mississippi’s need for rail service to small towns and small and existing shippers, along with the continued attention to large cities and the biggest new businesses.
